No One At All. . .

If I can write it better than you felt it
Then I guess I'm not a writer at all
Because through my experience
You experience no emotion at all

Blank expressions as you fake impressions
You allow your exterior to portray
That you care,  slick as you stare
But you will never truly be there

For them, for me, why do you imply
That you give a damn when it's all a lie
Why do you try to be the hero of the day
When later on you leave, and nothing is okay

You said I was the love of your life
Not so long after you left me in this strife
So I write this poem, but it is a meaningless song
Because if it made you feel nothing, then I am no writer at all

I failed, I wailed, I cry all day
Because I realized that with all I had to say
As determined as I was not to hit the wall
Your lack of emotion has caused my poetry to stall

I give up, I concede, I admit I'm no good
Poetry didn't make you feel the way it should
If I can't touch you with words, I shouldn't use my pen at all
But without my poetry and lyrics, I feel I am no one at all

So I watch myself fade away
Because without my pen, I have nothing to say.........
